Channel 4 just reported that these houses were painted by people in the neighborhood who are tired of waiting for these houses to be demolished. They have been condemned since the tornado. The neighbors painted the sides that face the freeway for Superbowl XL.

I do too. I wonder if others neighborhoods will do the same. The color is very eye catching from the expressway.
Have you seen The Helen Street Street Report on 25/72? People from the neighborhood and some ladies from the block club talk to the neighbors about the neighborhood and Detroit. I just watched a new episode about community gardens and weatherizing with plastic. Detroiters are awesome.
