Hamtramck police officers named in unrelated suits
Hamtramck police officer Randall Hutchinson was indicted in a Federal court today for "participating in a conspiracy to distribute steroids". The charge stems from an FBI investigation of the Highwaymen Motorcycle Club.
In a completely unrelated case, the City of Hamtramck and three police officers are being sued for an alleged civil rights infringement.

Officer Hutchinson was suspended by the HPD today without pay. In addition to the steroid allegation, he's been charged with revealing a wiretap to a Highwaymen member.

On the first case, it's another black eye for the department, but at least the city isn't named as a defendant.
On the second case, I don't know what the allegations are yet, or what evidence there is to support them. Should I be outraged?

It is a black eye for the department. But you have to understand that when the time is right they will release that information. The case just started and all the information is probably still investigated. And when FBI is involved, they do not like to release any information to the public.
I think Hutchison watched too many episodes of The Shield.
If you have read the articles it has been said that this investigation has been ongoing for more than 2 years!!
None of you know Hutchinson and do not have the right to sit in judgement of him. The Feds are notorious for getting indictments on innocent people and the people who are leaving negative comments should pull their heads out and grow up! Innocent until proven guilty people...maybe, you should remember that.
