It's actually "Whitey Morgan". I just saw them at the Elbow Room, and I highly recommend them if you like real country.

Why don't the Hamramck festival update their web site, it still shows 2005.

Interesting poster. Sure nice to see someone advocating playing with lighters - not a very safe message, is it?

Since this event is held on citygrounds and with city permission, I'd expect a a better poster that doesn't advocate arson or neglectful use of cigarette lighters.

Tred. How do you get through airports with that stick up your ass?

Stick's aren't metal, Larry - therefore I get through just fine.

I'm lots of fun, Steven - I just opened the page and that stuck out at me like a sore thumb. I think it's a poorly thought out poster and wouldn't want my son to see it regularly/frequently.

It's just a thought and an opinion folks, no need to get all worked up about it. Sadly, it's both a PC world and a litigious one.

If you don't want your kids to see lighters, don't bring them to Hamtramck.

Let's not blow this any more out of proportion than it already is, folks.

I think it was a poor choice on a poster design for what's usually considered a family event (there are still kiddie rides and a kids area, right?). It's not like I said fireman shouldn't sell beer in our culture ;)
