Hamtramck is truly a piece of Poland in America! This may sound like something nonsensical.. but on almost every street corner in the city and truckstop there is a kebab joint in Poland

I had no idea. Do the kabob joints in Poland have Italian gelato bars?

We had dinner at Royal Kabob on Saturday night. The food was excellent, as was the service. The waiter says that the busiest time is between 10 p.m. and midnight. Many of their customers want them to stay open 24 hours, or at least until 2 a.m.. I wonder if other businesses will take note and expand their hours.

The menu should be added to the sidebar shortly.

I thought that was gelato!! I haven't had any since I was in Italy!! Do they have pistachio?

Of course that was my first question but the "green" flavor was something other than pistachio.

I went on opening day. The verdict was that the food was great, the service was a bit shaky but it WAS opening day. The entrees are a bit expensive, but the sandwiches are cheap. Got gelato last night...mmmmm!

I was there yesterday. IMHO food was just OK. Garlic sauce was great, bread too (La Shish style). Service - very good.

Went there for lunch and they have great chicken!! The service was great and I was treated very kindly with somebody there to help in case I needed anything. Everytime I walk by I make sure to get some gelato and yes, it seems that it's really busy between 10pm. and later.

Any place that can make baba ganoush reasonably well, and Royal Kabob does, will certainly get my business.

I had the chicken gallayah and fattoush for dinner there just last night. If you can believe it, the food is even better than the day they opened. I think chicken gallayah is my new favorite thing there, though just the fresh bread and garlic sauce are worth visiting.
